Chapter President
Kevin Olson is the President of the Gen. John W. Vessey Jr. AUSA Chapter 5401. He is the founding partner and CEO of SnowGlobe Public Relations, a Veteran-Owned Small Business. Kevin served 31 years in the U.S. Army, and his last position was a 14-year stretch as the Director of Communications for the Minnesota Army and Air National Guard. Holding the rank of Colonel, he was the Minnesota National Guard's primary spokesman and strategic communication advisor to three Adjutants General. His military awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, and the Joint Service Commendation Medal. He was inducted into the Minnesota National Guard Court of Honor in 2022.
Chapter Vice President
Trey Lachicotte is the Gen. John W. Vessey Jr. AUSA Chapter 5401 Vice President. He currently works for Cargill, Inc., the North American Inbound Bulk Lead for Animal Nutrition and Health, and sits on multiple military non-profit boards. Trey served 21 years as an active duty U.S. Army Special Forces officer. He was deployed ten times and concluded his career as a University of Notre Dame Professor of Military Science at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His military awards and decorations include the Ranger tab, Special Forces tab, Bronze Star Medal (2OLCs), Joint Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC), numerous other awards and badges, and ten foreign jump wings. He was inducted into the University of Tennessee ROTC Hall of Fame in 2022.
Chapter Secretary
Rachel Baufield is originally from Lino Lakes, MN. She enlisted in the Minnesota Army National Guard in September 2014 as MOS 25L (Cable Support Systems Installer). Upon returning home to Minnesota from training, she had the opportunity to join the Minnesota National Guard on the annual Norwegian Exchange, learning how the Norwegian Army trains in the field and exploring their country and culture.
After a year, she decided to start college and interstate transferred to the Pennsylvania Guard to attend Shippensburg University. She ultimately obtained her Bachelor's in Business. While in college, she reclassified her MOS to 25U (Signal Support Specialist).
After graduation, she transferred to the Connecticut National Guard interstate and obtained ADOS orders in the IT Department at 1109th Theater Aviation Support Maintenance Group (TASMG) in Groton, CT. She utilized military benefits to obtain IT Certificates such as Security Plus and A+, which allowed her to obtain the MOS 25B (Information Technology Specialist).
Transitioned into Active Guard Reserve (AGR) within a year and worked at the 1109th TASMG as AGR for 4 years. After meeting her now significant other and having children, she transferred to her home state of Minnesota to be closer to family and got an AGR job in recruiting.
SSG Rachel Baufield resides in Columbia Heights, MN with her significant other Ryan and their 2 children.
Vice President of Community Relations
Mr. Dan Jordan is a highly experienced military professional and community leader with a proven track record in leadership, operations, and administrative support. With a distinguished military career, he has served in key roles including Convoy Commander in Iraq, where he led missions contributing to over 1,000,000 miles of operations. He also supervised over 50 soldiers and served as a Safety Inspector for the 34th Aviation Brigade.
In addition to his military service, Dan has made significant contributions in administrative support roles. As the Family Assistance Coordinator for the Minnesota National Guard, he maintained 24-hour availability to support service members and their families. He also coordinated volunteer activities and solicited over $250,000 annually for veterans' programs while working with the Minnesota Veterans Home-Hastings and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
Dan has held leadership positions within veteran organizations, including serving as Quartermaster of VFW Post 1791 Chaska and coordinating multiple State Commander projects. His community involvement extends to the Disabled American Veterans and the Army Aviation Association of America.
With numerous awards and decorations, including the Combat Action Badge and Army Commendation Medal, Mr. Jordan's career reflects a commitment to excellence, service, and the well-being of both military personnel and veterans. His educational background includes advanced military training, leadership courses, and various certifications in safety and operations management.
